This little angel usually lounges in my flower bed in the front of my house. I was getting him ready for a long winter's nap, but I got as far as moving him to the cooler in my back yard where I keep my ice melt.........which I needed last Saturday.
Fortunately, things are warming up around here. Temps in the 60's for the weekend and next week. Turned the furnace back off. Always makes me happy to do that.
I was sort of experiencing blogger's block for several hours.
I did not want to miss the first letter of Round 4 of Alphabe-Thursday. I do love my fav linky parties. But I was not up to cooking, baking, even photograph taking.
But then I looked up at my entertainment center and received some Assistance with a capital A!
Happy to start Round 4 of Alphabe-Thursday with the wonderful Jenny Matlock.
And speaking of fav linky parties, I also will be joining
Natasha at 5 Minutes Just for Me for Singing & Pinning
Honey at 2805 for Potpourri Friday
The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays (just because)
Photos #2, #3, and #5 are from my 'Angelic' board on Pinterest.

Barbara, I enjoyed your post about angels. I have several angels in my garden - you just reminded me, the garden art needs to come inside soon! I see you are quite a Pintarest fan. Bet you didn't know that the (or one of the) inventers of Pintarest grew up in Iowa; his parents are both opthamologists here.

I have a garden walkway that I place angles along either side. Love yours.
ReplyDeleteNice Angels! Love them in the garden.

Lovely post, Barbara. I think the beautiful figure sitting on a bench and holding a bouquet of roses is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAngels amongst us! I love your little garden angel -- very sweet. Have you not been feeling well? Or was it just too late in the day for cooking, baking or picture taking? :) The Tablescaper is another of my favorites -- she always has such beautiful things on her tables! :)

ReplyDeleteOh, how I love angels. In fact, I used to collect them. There was a shop in my old town that used to sell the most unique angels. I still have my angels today.

Hi Barbara and I loved seeing your sweet angels! I know my guardian angel has had her hands full with me this week! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Angelicly inspired post! Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteI have always loved angels and have many around my home. I believe we have real ones that watch over us too, they may be our family that has passed on. :D
ReplyDeleteWhat great post for someone a bloggers block; I do love angels. Now you have to find that recipe and post about your frisé and poached egg salad.
ReplyDeleteRita
I think angels are fascinating, (though I confess to picturing them rather differently than the ones in your photos).
ReplyDeleteYou only had bloggers block for "a few hours"? I think that is really lucky. Sometimes I get it for days. Well, actually what I get is blogger "lazy". I usually have something to blog about, but I do everything else first and then I just don't feel like doing it!
ReplyDeleteOf course I love angels.
Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI gave you the Triple Cute Award for your blog. Please read my post to find out about it.
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
One of the things my mom collected were small, unassuming angels. I keep them in odd corners of her space, overlooking things.
ReplyDeleteI'm giving you an "A" for your angel post. I happen to like them too. I have one on my hearth that I've had for years.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of angels at my place too. They really mean so much to me. I actually have that Raphael print in our bedroom as it reminds me of the twin boys we lost 16 years ago when they were only 20 weeks old.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really beautiful post. I'm so glad you shared it at this week's Pinning & Singing party... you have no idea how special it was to me.
Best wishes always,
Natasha.
PS Glad to see you got your bloggy mojo back!
xo
I think your angels gave you some assistance with this lovely post!
ReplyDeleteYou have some truly lovely ones in your collection.
They are always so comforting to have around, aren't they? My youngest sister collected them!
Thanks for a lovely link to the letter A.
A+
Dearest Barbara,
ReplyDeleteVery nice post about angels. Coincidence that I too had several posts about Angels, Cherubs, Putti. In our living room on November 8, 9 and 10, 11! You might want to have a look, especially the 8 and 9 posts.
Wishing you a great week and love to you,
Mariette
