Happy Thanksgiving

We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!
We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

I am grateful to God, for the parents who gave me life, for my family and friends, both here and in Heaven, the jobs that I have held that paid my bills, (and where I met several very dear buds), my pets and for my wonderful followers and authors of the blogs I follow.  You bring so much to my daily life, more than you realize.

Enjoy Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends.  Mwah!

  16. Dearest Barbara,

    Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. We both are very proud that at the time the first settlers came to the New World, to live a free life, they had come through the Kingdom of The Netherlands where they were granted freedom of religion. Read here: http://www.pilgrimarchives.nl/
