Happy Shrove Tuesday

I plan on eating fish (or vegan) Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent.  I will make more of an effort to attend Church.    We must remember to pray for each other in order to be strong in anticipation of what God is going to do through us.

I haven't posted much this last week as I have been doing spring deep cleaning and running a bunch of errands, such as  income taxes.  More to come on the reason for the sense of urgency I have to complete things.  Thanks for all the sweet comments and words of encouragement on my frustration with Google.

I want to welcome some new followers.   I still prefer the Google Friend Connect, but I do have Linky and Networked Blogs on the side bar for any non-Blogger folks.

  7. Sending along encouragement for your Lenten decisions. I will give up desserts. Of course, Sundays are not included in that, so I'm told.:)

  8. Thanks for the wonderful reminder. Prayers and encouragement for you also during this season. I'm thinking it will be desserts and sugar/bad carbs for me to give up. I desperately need to and what a great reason. Thanks for always stopping by and for always being so encouraging to me. Wish you were closer!!

  9. Loved your purple, green and gold type! Yes tomorrow we are off for ashes but today was the last day to celebrate. I've been in the cleaning and tossing mode myself. Wonder if it is programmed in our DNA?

  21. Yes, ma'am....we better pray together. Our country is heading in the wrong direction and we must carefully choose our next leader. I pray about that constantly.

  22. Hope everything is well with you, Barbara. We've been getting our things together for taxes, too. Not fun! Good luck with going meatless more. It's got to be much healthier.

  24. Yes, I agree, we need to pray for each other and this country.
We just finished our first meatless Fri. We had pizza Wed., so tonight it was baked clams and New England clam chowder. Twice a week w/ o meat is too much for me.
    All the best, B!

  34. Barbara, Although I don't count myself as the best Catholic, I am trying to be a better person during this time of Lent. Hope your procedure goes well. I wish I could have a surgery that would help my extreme near sighted-ness, but the opthamologist said no go. I'm still trying to get my contact lens prescription straightened out and it has been a year! xo Sue

  35. I admit that I had to google Shrove Tuesday to figure out for sure if it meant what I thought it did.

    It did.

I think this is the perfect season to focus on our prayer life and being ready to do what God wants to do through us. Well said! I have been AWOL too, for a variety of reasons. I'm trying to catch up.

  36. And I couldn't comment above so I'm telling you here that I hope the surgery goes perfectly and you come out with a whole new OUTLOOK.

Of course, you could always try to type without looking. Then we can call you Two Birdies and a BBBBBBBBBB
