Welcome October!

Pinterest

My favorite month, in my favorite season.  Used to have my very favorite holiday ;-) and I guess it is one of my top three faves.  A couple of friends celebrate birthdays.  But I make it a point to think about the 'serious' side of the month, too

Everyone is busy

Pinterest

There are husbands and kids and pets that need your time and attention

Pinterest

Not to mention jobs and bosses, community involvement, charitable work, social obligations, blogging...........

Pinterest
But your ta-ta's need your attention too!

Pinterest

So make your appointment.  Get it over with.  Your husband/kid(s)/pet(s) need you....................so go!

Make them happy

  3. Great post! I avoided the rush and got mine in July. LOL!!! It's a subject near and dear to my heart (well, quite literally, huh?!). My Grandma succumbed to breast cancer in 1988. October is a fabulous month -- my favorite of them all, too!!!! :)

  6. Wonderful post! I've had my tata's checked for the year and I'm blessed to be doing fine. I did have a call back and have to go again in 6 months but I'm praying all will continue to be well. Get them checked ladies! Pink ribbons all the way. Hugs, Linda

  9. Great post, Barbara! I, too, love October -- such a lovely month in many ways. Fall is our favorite season here at Forest Manor; my husband and I both LOVE it.

Thanks for the reminder about Breast Cancer Awareness; this is actually my month for a mammogram. Looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks. :)

    XO,

  13. OMG, I forgot to say that I was really happy for your explanation about the pumpkin dishes (^_^)v I smiled the way little ones are called (haha, you know why). I don't do all these baking, making cookies but I bought the ready-made packed pumpkin soup today. Lazy me, but it has good taste p;)

  14. Dearest Barbara,
Funny that I found that my first comment wasn't uploaded. Haha, I must have forgot to push the enter(^^;)
Well, it sure is the important thing and I am thankful for the reminder as well. I haven't had medical check... My late mom died from uterus cancer and was too late for the surgery. I love the bright pink color pictures for this issue, my friend♡♡♡ Sorry for the upside down comments p;)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

  19. This is a great post. I have an October birthday, so I have always loved Halloween and fall...those birthdays seem to come around faster these days! As for the awareness message...thanks for getting it out there. I got my "you are fine" letter in the mail yesterday. Scratch that off my list for the year.

Thank you for your prayers and all for Luke and his family. Last week every day brought them bad news and it really is a helpless feeling to watch your friends suffer. He is such a sweet little guy.

  22. Thanks for getting the word out Barb. Getting a little personal here, but the doctor felt one of my ta-ta's needed a little extra attention, so I had minor surgery a couple weeks ago. Nothing showed up on the mammogram or MRI, but the ultrasound picked up some possible pre-cancer cells. The report came back as no cancer, but we need to keep a close eye on it.

I just set up my Halloween mantel last evening, and do enjoy passing out candy to the little ones on Halloween.
