Imagine if the Pilgrims did not take a leap of faith
I am thankful for our forefathers and their belief in God
Grateful for my faith, family and friends, my little home, pets and past experiences that brought me to this point and made me the person I am
I do believe I am blessed
Born in a time that was a lot easier than when the Pilgrims first arrived
Wishing you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving Day

I love that turkey photo! I often wonder if I would have been brave enough to set out on a journey to an unknown frontier, like the Pilgrims and the explorers of the west, and my own grandparents who came from Europe. We are truly blessed with our lives. Linda
ReplyDeleteOh and it was an amazing leap of faith, too, planned and planned for years and years despite the "leap" part of the description. Love that turkey trot picture!

Sometimes when I am going through hard times, I do think of my pioneer heritage and tell myself to buck up, and then my problems don't seem so hard. The counting of our blessings does make us be grateful. Love your photos. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. Joni

An awesome reminder for me this morning. You are so right. What if they had not had the courage to go in search of religious freedom. What if...
ReplyDeleteMy husband's ancestor was on that ship. I'm so glad that he was a man of faith AND courage.

Of the 25 family groups (53 Pilgrims) that were part of the first Thanksgiving meal, between my mom and dad, I've got connections to nine of them. LOL! That's pretty rich stock right there! Happy Thanksgiving, my friend! I hope you had a marvelous day! :)
