A Cup of Joe is a wonderful program where you can donate money to 'buy' a cup of coffee for a soldier through Green Beans Coffee
| A Service Member wants to thank you for sending them a Cup of Joe! Cup of Joe #1 Your message and gift of a CUP OF JOE was delivered to a Service Member serving at ATOC (Ops Town) - Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. They wanted to say thanks and make sure you knew your gift was received. Please see below for their note to you: Barbara, Thank you for thinking of us and keeping us in your prayers. The coffee is much appreciated. Sincerely, Robert Hulse LCDR USN |
You can click on the link above and send a cup of coffee with a personal note to our troops overseas. $2.00 buys one cup, and they have different amounts to purchase. You will receive an acknowledgement from them.

Thanks for the kind note and the coffee. Have a great day.
I want to thank Pat at Gypsy Heart for bringing this to my attention. I was happy to do this, sending my favorite thing to the folks fighting for my freedom. I am grateful for our service men and women.

What a nice thing to do! I just got my thank you from the Christmas items I sent that had been requested. Apparently, there's a long list of things that they don't have that they'd really appreciate. Some of those things sound as if they need to be on a required items list to me. Coffee might be. ;>
ReplyDeleteMy travelers are back in your corner and had quite a bit of cleaning up to do to even be able to get into the house. Looks as if there's more bad weather expected this weekend.
You are so nice.. xo
ReplyDeleteOn my 3rd cup right now :)
ReplyDeleteThis army mom says THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeletexo,
Lisa
Hi Barbara, nice to meet you via Claudia this morning. the sky is definitely looking 'snowy' here now and those early blossoms may be in for wet afternoon!
ReplyDeleteLoved reading of the Cup of Joe program - new to me and one I would be happy to support. After all, no matter where in the world one awakes, that first morning mug/cup is always the best eye-opener if one is a coffee lover! Keurig for later in the day for a small one, but like you, I have to make a big fresh pot at 7 AM.
Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your weekend.
Mary
What a novel idea! I sure do enjoy MY cup(s) of coffee throughout the day, and these guys sure deserve theirs. :-) Sue
ReplyDeleteThis is so neat. I'll do it right away.

Love my coffee in the morning. Bob always has the pot brewing when I get up. Actually, he has already had several cups when I come slinking from the bedroom.

Forgot to mention. Love the header!!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I love this post. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! I feel that we owe our military men and women such a debt of gratitude, and this is just one small way of showing them we are grateful. I love my cup of joe first thing in the morning, too; in fact it doesn't feel like a luxury but a necessity for me. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Denise at Forest Manor
I am the same way about my morning coffee, I like a hot pot of coffee. I save the Keurig for my decaf in the evening. What a great program for the soldiers! Great post, have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteI did read about this great program on Pat's blog, too, Barbara! It's a wonderful way to show our love and support of our troops. Thanks for sharing! xo
ReplyDeleteI adore coffee but my tummy doesn't WAH! Still I throw caution to the wind on the weekend and treat myself to a Mocha.
ReplyDeleteHappy morning cuppa and happy week to you!
superb idea!!
ReplyDeleteI don't drink a lot of coffee and try to avoid caffeine, but this sounds like a great program. Thanks for passing the info on because like many of the others, I've never heard of it either. What a great small way we can all show support to the troops.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing to do for a military member -- so easy and inexpensive and yet so needed and appreciated! Thanks, Barbara!

Dearest Barbara,
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing idea,we could support and encourage our soldier in overseas for duty.
Coffee for me hardly to take it during the day, otherwise I couldn't sleep ;).
In the morning I always drink a hot of tea and a cup of cappuccino ORZO, for sure you know it ;)
have a great week to you
xoxo
This is a wonderful idea. I'll be stopping by there.
ReplyDeleteI love your coffee station and the idea for a cup of coffee and prayers for them. I can only do the prayers, as for me all the way from Ecuador, is not easy. Thank you for your wonderful comment. Have a great week, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Great blog post and great program. I like your blog name. I came over from Linda's Gratitude Sunday. Have a good week and enjoy that coffee!

Barbara A cup of coffee is an absolute necessity in the morning. Love your coffee station. Tried Kreurig for the first time at my daughters.. love the convenience of making just a single cup of tea , coffee or cocoa..... it is now on my list of purchases .....
