Yes, it is time to join Vee, at A Haven for Vee for her monthly note card party.
My thoughts are filled with warm sunny days and enjoying the outdoors. These photos are from a visit to the Staten Island Botanical Gardens in August 2011.
Writing this post has definitely put me in a mood for another visit, definitely this spring, before it gets too warm. To see some more photos of this visit, click here.
Please stop by Vee's blog, and enjoy the fabulous photos being shared by fellow bloggers. New friendships are just waiting to be made.
Also joining Fiona at Raindrops & Daisies for Green Day.

You make me wish I was there in that garden, so green and beautiful! Spring is coming and along with it the flowers.
ReplyDeleteMary
Sounds as if August was hot! It's hard to imagine now. How nice to have such a beautiful garden so close...beautiful statuary, architecture, and arbors.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards with a warm and toasty August garden theme.
ReplyDeleteOh these are so beautiful...and enticing! All of that lush green goodness! Yes, even this confirmed fall-and-winter girl is yearning for some of spring's green. I wish I could join you on your visit to these lovely gardens. (Be sure to take more pics when you go!)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so ignorant but I didn't realise there was a botanical garden on Staten Island. I'm hoping to return to NYC either later this year or next year and it will definitely be on my list of places to see. I love gardens!
ReplyDeleteAugust warmth - how I dream of that just now. It rarely gets hot enough here for me. The garden looks so fresh and welcoming. Great photos for the note card party.
ReplyDeleteLove looking at all that green! I'm sure it will be here soon:@)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos --a promise of spring! It will be here eventually... right? Today was very cold and WINDY here in Ohio, and so... we'll keep on keeping on until those warmer days return. I did notice it was much lighter when my hubby left for work this morning!!! =D
ReplyDeleteA sight for sore eyes, or should I say cold ones! With more snow coming down, the thought of strolling through a Botanical Garden would be lovely.
ReplyDeleteJudith
How lovely! I particularly love the 2nd one. I think we are all itching for some springtime weather again, LOL.

ReplyDeleteThe Botanical Garden looks gorgeous, Barbara! You produced some beautiful notecards and I enjoyed seeing them. My favorite is the 2nd one. All are lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Barbara! This brings back memories of when I visited the SI Botanical Garden years ago!
ReplyDeleteI had to giggle today when I got fundraising mail from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden -- it wasn't forwarded but had my new address! I wonder how they got my Colorado address?? lol!
Such beautiful photos. I would want to visit the garden all the time! As fast as this month as flown by, I know it won't be all that long before spring arrives...I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteBarbara...these are gorgeous pictures! They seriously would make beautiful note cards!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Boy I sure could use some green! Looks like my kind of place to visit!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS choices this month, Barbara. I love that top one the best of all.
ReplyDeleteI need to find a pair of minutes to catch up better. I have been lost in my own personal torture chamber called a kitchen makeover.
All nice cards, like the first one best!
ReplyDeleteI love Botanical gardens and the Staten Island Gardens look like a real winner! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos and such pretty "note cards." One of these days, we should all print out some of our note cards from Vee's party, don't you think?
I really love public gardens, Barbara, so I think you chose a great subject this month. I'm going to check out the rest of your pictures; I'm not sure how I missed the original post. :)
Have a wonderful day, my friend.

ReplyDeleteOh so wonderful, lush and green. Makes me yearn for summer.
ReplyDeleteThose really could be note cards! They are beautiful. We love going to botanical gardens. It is funny how I seem to appreciate nature so much more than when my kids were around...I guess I can actually do things I like instead of malls and sporting good stores!
ReplyDeleteThat botanic garden is gorgeous, Barbara! You " must " come back! Your photos are so green, so beautiful...thanks for sharing.

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Gosh Barbara I love botanical gardens. On my birthday I'm usually in England and Robert and I go to Kew. It's a tradition. Aren't we lucky that we have public gardens to visit?
ReplyDeleteThose are beutiful pictures and make me long for the warm, sunny days of spring. My garden will never look as good as a botanical garden, but each time I see pictures like this, it makes me want to go play in the dirt and plant something. Considering it still feels very much like winter where I live, I don't think that's a good idea. I'll have to look at your pictures and just dream! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your garden post, Barbara! This would make a great set of notecards.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Barbara.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely weekend.
Thanks for linking up with Raindrops and Daisies Green Day, great having you join in.
