Diary of a Daffodil

While shopping at Trader Joe's, I picked up two bunches of daffodils, $1.49 each.  They were all tightly closed.  By the time I got home, one or two were starting to open.

And others decided to join in

Wasn't much longer when I saw this

And then they really decide to stretch

And stretch some more

One of my most favorite flowers,  heralding Spring

Sharing the happy yellow flowers with Claudia for A Favorite Thing.  and The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.  Thanks for hosting each week.

Wishing all of you a very Happy and Blessed Easter

It is the hour to rend thy chains, the blossom time of souls.

  7. I think that yellow is such a cheery spring pick-me-up color! I am still enjoying the yellow tulips that I bought for my party last week. I am hoping that they will remain beautiful for at least two more days, so that they can grace my table on Resurrection Sunday!

    Money well spent.

  11. I was surprised to notice a bunch of them getting ready to open by the side of my house. We have had so much cold and snow I didn't even think to see any yet. They look as if they might open in a week or two. Your shots are lovely !

  29. I had missed this in all my Easter busyness. Since daffodils happen to be one of my all time favorite flowers, I had to stop and tell you that I loved watching yours open.

Now, I want to go and buy a vase of my own.
