I'm a Farm Girl At Heart

For this month's Note Card Party at A Haven For Vee, I chose a farm animal theme.  Spring is here, even though many of us are still freezing and shoveling snow!  But it is here.  I cannot wait to get out and plant and visit farm stands, my favorite pastime.

Yo, whatssup?

Mooooooooooove over, honey

Maa-aa-aaa  photo by Everyday Ruralty used with permission on a post

roses are red, dandelions are yellow, munchin' this grass, I'm one happy fellow

Soon the grass will be green and things will be growing and blooming.  And I will be complaining about the weeds.  The circle of life......

Please stop by Vee's and enjoy the beautiful photos.

  42. A sister of my soul, you are indeed Barbara! I am a farm girl at heart too and have been enjoying getting my fingers dirty in the soil prepping my gardens in the last few weeks. A freeze is in order for tonight so we are glad that we have not planted yet! Even in SC (f you can believe it, Mother Nature can't be trusted until mid to late April!) PS: love your "Pray the Rosary" button on your side bar!
    Hugs,

  45. Cute animals and captions; I'm lovin' the cows though. Me, too, waiting for warmer weather and planting some kind of flowers, weeds, whatever. I mean it; I'm ready! Have a great week.

  46. We used to live in a house with an abandoned barn. For a while, we had chickens in the chicken coop, but that was as "farm girl" as I ever got. That was I believe when I was the ripe old age of four. I am an animal lover and always say I would love to live on a farm, but truth is, I would be too lazy for that lifestyle.

I too can't wait for the spring like days because I would like to work in my flower garden. Hopefully we will see the better weather soon. Have a great day!

  47. I'm a farm girl too, Barbara. I love the smell of the freshly plowed fields in the spring when farmers are getting ready to plant. This is my favorite time of year when the days get longer and warmer.

  48. Hi Barbara! OH, I love your farm pix! The one with the sheep and little lambs is so sweet! I'll tell you, the cake was a sour cream orange pound cake. Doesn't that sound so good? It was thick and heavy and not sweet enough, plus, you couldn't taste the orange. Just not a good recipe for sure.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

She has a donkey, horses, a pig, dogs...I think that's it. She would LOVE to have a couple of sheep! That would really make her day!
