Monthly Note Card Party

I have been getting things scratched off the "to-do" list, this time of year is busy, and it has been so hot and humid for so many days, I had to just give up on yard work.  I had some home repair and painting done.  Then sciatica hit........

But, I have been popping in for visits, and a simple post here and there, and I am happy to be able to join Vee's monthly note card party.

This month I went with photos from my 'postage' stamp yard taken last summer.

I'm sending luck and wishes
All wrapped up in a hug
Good things should come your way
With this tiny ladybug.

It's difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato."

Please stop by A Haven For Vee and enjoy the beautiful photos.

Please excuse the spacing, I have it set to line up left justified but Blogger is determined on keeping me "centered" (?), and the awful color surrounding my photos.

  1. Love them all! My favorite photo is the flower (which I shall call a daisy) growing out of the crack in the pavement. My favorite quote of all is the last one by Lewis Grizzard. (Who happened to be a huge favorite around this place for years. Wish he were still alive.)

  2. These are all wonderful! I love the borders and quotes you've added, especially the home grown tomato quote. We have a few in pots in our courtyard and we are checking them every day! Sweet hugs!

  4. This is a great selection of note cards, Barbara!! The "weed" in the first photo looks just like some wildflowers I photographed in the mountains last summer. I think it's quite cheerful. :-D Your rose is exquisite; I just love that shell-pink color. You must have a green thumb, as roses aren't easy to grow.

The third card is darling; ladybugs are my favorite bugs (I'm not a big fan of bugs in general). Lastly, the Lewis Grizzard quote is priceless. There aren't many things better than a garden-fresh tomato! Have a great day!

  8. Delightful summer note cards, Barbara. That ladybug poem is so sweet.

That sciatica is so not fun. I know all too well. Hope it doesn't last long and you can continue on with your "to do" list (or not).

  9. Loving each photo and the captions too! We had a simple summer dinner of bruschetta and corn on the cob for dinner, but sadly the tomatoes were not homegrown.

  26. I love you're feeling better quite soon!

Beautiful note cards. They are all so pretty I don't know which is my favorite! The "flowers" growing out of the crack in the sidewalk might be it. I love how it's a bit of beauty where you least expect it. :)

  28. Great photos and perfectly chosen words to go with them. I have trouble every time I post something these days with spacing or things not loading. Yesterday when I changed my header photo, I couldn't get it to load. I finally went through Chrome instead of IE and it worked just fine. I may try to post my next blog post using Chrome and see if the spacing works. It is hot, hot here too and so very humid. Ugh.

  31. Don't you just wish you could take that sciatic nerve and snatch right out of your body?!??!?!!! I know I do...all the time! It has been messing with me for about 15 years now, and I'm so sick of it!!! It really is quite debilitating and painful. People who haven't experienced it just can't imagine the pain. It's kind of what I think being shot must feel like!

Take care of yourself, and thanks for sending the ladybug luck!
