A Farewell to Fall

I posted about Deep Cut Gardens back in early June.  It is located in Holmdel, New Jersey.  At that time, I knew I would have to make a visit in the fall, to enjoy the colors of my favorite season.  So with no further ado, and limited 'chatter', here are my photos from a wonderful Saturday I spent a few weeks ago.

I would have loved to spread a warm plaid blanket down on the ground and enjoyed a picnic!  I plan on visiting again during the winter, after a nice snowfall.

Thanks for stopping by.  It is nice getting back into the swing of blogging.

  1. Hi Barbara, It's great to see you! These pictures are perfect for the start of winter -- a chance to say farewell to fall. I love the oak leaf hydrangea, the holly tree loaded with berries, and the golden yellow maples! Everything is beautiful. :) Do you know what the trees with twisty trunks are? Those are very interesting!

I hope you have a nice weekend, Barbara.

    Hugs,

  3. It must be fun when you have so much blog fodder up your sleeve! =D Those leaves look almost like a plaid blanket in themselves.

  9. This looks like a beautiful place to go for a stroll Barbara. I love autumn and always feel sad when it is over. Thank goodness the Christmas season then cheers me up! Denver is a nice place to be during this season--lots of festivities and less traffic and crowds than I experiences in NYC. I just miss all the fresh fish stores for the Christmas Eve feast. My sisrter-in-law is maili ordering a baccala from Brooklyn for us...lol!

  10. Gorgeous fall pictures and wonderful shots, Barb! I love a stroll in the fall, and honestly I didn't do enough of that this year. I spent too much time inside with my own personal pity party. Maybe a stroll would have jolted some words out of me. Grin.

  16. How did I miss this? Just saw this beautiful post with all the lovely pictures. I love the colors of fall but it seems to have all disappeared until next year in this part of the world. Hope you are having fun getting ready for the holidays.
