Happy Easter Happy Spring

A touch of Easter decor in my entry way

the one flower that really says "spring" to me.  Love the scent and this color.

The palm is actually from Palm Sunday 2014

Traditional Easter bread, this one was baked by my friend Lily's husband, Lenny.

An Easter treat from last year.

Wishing all of you a Blessed Easter Sunday, and a Happy and Blessed Passover.

  11. Stopping by to wish you a belated Happy Easter. We were traveling yesterday and didn't even get to celebrate so now I'm enjoying the pretty sights at your house, imagining the smell of that lovely hyacinth and trying to imagine how delicious those beautiful baked goods tasted :). Hope you had a lovely day, Barbara.

  13. Hi Barbara, Happy Belated Easter to you. Your entryway looks so pretty! I, too, love Hyacinths; they're so fragrant, they smell like honest-to-goodness perfume. :) Your mug with the bird on the handle is darling. I love the look of that Easter bread; is it a traditional Italian bread? Here in our town, the local bakery bakes hot cross buns. They're pretty, but I'm not crazy about the flavor. :)

I hope you're having a nice spring on Staten Island and hope that Pearl and Kiwi are well. Have a wonderful week!

    Warm hugs,

  15. I love the hyacinth plant! I have one lousy one growing randomly in a flower bed and every spring I tell myself to plant more...then in the fall I forget. And a belated Happy Easter to you. I apologize for not getting around. I really have to get on the ball.

You mentioned the yeast connection with your eczema. Do you mean like bread and crackers and sweets? Some have commented that they have been tested for food allergies. I'm not sure how that works but I'll try anything. Mine is unsightly.

    Happy Spring, Barbara! :)
